MOUNT CRAWFORD — A Weyers Cave gentleman has been charged with murder in Rockingham County, authorities claimed Thursday.
Richard D. Brunk, 60, is charged with first-degree murder and use of a firearm in the fee of a felony. The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Business stated the suspect reportedly shot and killed his brother, 63-12 months-old Ronald D. Brunk.
At about 7 p.m. on Wednesday, authorities responded to a small business — Mast and Brunk — at 917 Cottontail Trail, wherever they identified Ronald Brunk unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the upper body, a push release explained.
A deputy attempted CPR but the target was declared dead soon immediately after rescue staff arrived on the scene.
An investigation uncovered that Ronald Brunk experienced lately been involved in a family dispute with Richard Brunk, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office environment.
Richard Brunk was situated in Augusta County at his Weyers Cave house and was taken into custody devoid of incident. He is being held without having bond at the Rockingham Harrisonburg Regional Jail.
